WATCH: AJ O'Neill confirms exciting Winter Millions target for All The Glory
All The Glory kicked off her career over fences with a close second place finish behind In The Air in a race fought between just the two of them. The performance was encouraging, as her opponent on the day was coming in with far more experience (six runs over fences and two victories in the four months leading up to the race) and was carrying 13lbs less than All The Glory on the day.
The O'Neill team were pleased with her chase debut and made the decision to send her north to Aintree for her next run, however, following a shuddering error at the first, she was unable to make any impact. The blunder caused her to lose confidence in her jumping which lead to a couple more mistakes, so from then on jockey Jonjo Jnr knew her race was run and he did what he had to to ensure she got round safely.
After an aborted trip to Bangor for a Listed race, All The Glory made her way to the opposite end of the country, namely Exeter, for her next spin over fences. The ground on that day was bottomless, and it really took it's toll on our recently turned nine-year-old in the closing stages of the contest.
Looking forward, after a short Christmas break, All the Glory is being aimed at a contest at Windsor later in the month on day one of the Winter Millions series. Jonjo & AJ O'Neill are happy with the way she's been schooling at home since her last start, and have no concerns that the jumping errors that have occurred early in her career will continue as we progress with her.
