Seven months on from Annie Mc giving birth to the Club's first ever foal, we headed back to Carisbrooke Stud Farm to find out how both Annie and our Doctor Dino colt have been progressing.

Martin Grassick [Stud Director] has been delighted with how Annie has reacted since giving birth for the first time earlier this year, and in the past couple of months her and her foal have been going through the typical weaning process. This is essentially when the foal starts to become more independent, using Annie less and less for nutrition and also from a social perspective as well.

There are many foals at Carisbrooke Stud, so our Doctor Dino colt has been spending plenty of time with them in the field. It's a fairly relaxed time as a foal grows into a yearling, and for the most part this is all they're doing as they continue to develop physically and mentally.
