Aspire To Glory to be given time off before the turf season – latest from Alice Haynes
He ran a sound race without finishing with the same purpose as he's displayed more recently, which could be down to a couple of things. He has shaped like he was ready for this trip but perhaps a well-run seven furlongs is even more suitable as he travelled well here without being quite as strong in the finish.
I would also consider that he's not the bravest when surrounded by horses as he was yesterday, and I'd be inclined to think this was as much of a contributing factor as the extra furlong.
We'll give him a little bit of time before preparing him for the turf, where I think seven furlongs at a testing track may well end up being his optimum. There are more races in him in these conditions and similar.
