'He will come on enormously from that' – Alice Haynes reflects on Aspire To Glory's debut
Unfortunately the first day at school was all too much for Aspire To Glory on Saturday and he was very, very babyish in everything he did on the day.
Because he was doing everything well at home he was always in his comfort zone, and it’s only now he’s had racecourse experience that we could take him out of that.
He did jump out of the stalls well, and take his position nicely early on, but from there everything happened very quickly for him. He will come on enormously from that, learn lots from the racecourse experience and we really shouldn’t be judging his ability levels on that performance.
He will get six furlongs in time, but five won’t be a problem for him in the near future.
