Cave Article is set to make his long awaited return to the racecourse this Thursday, as he heads to Taunton for his first start of 2026. 

Cave Article was making his 11th start in ten months when we last saw him in August of 2025 and following that run his trainer, Christian Williams, decided that he was deserving of a long break over the autumn and winter months to recuperate and prepare for his next campaign. Since that run, he's been out in the field enjoying his downtime and in the last couple of months, has been back in the main yard preparing for his return to racing. 

Christian had identified a race for his return last week, but opted against declaring him for that contest at Bangor-on-Dee, with the belief that he could find a more suitable contest for him in the not so distant future. That didn't take long for Glamorgan based trainer to do, and he promptly entered him for a race at Taunton this Thursday.
