WATCH: Conservative switches from Scott Dixon to Joe Tizzard
Ahead of the upcoming Flat season, the club's five-year-old gelding, Conservative, has been switched from Scott Dixon to Joe Tizzard.
After a positive start for Scott and the Coral Racing Club back in January last year, when Conservative finished 6th and 4th in back-to-back competitive all-weather contests, he's struggled to match that form since. So following the turn of the year, we thought that it would be good to give Conservative a change of scenery and surroundings, with the hope that he can return to show the ability we know he's capable of whether on the flat, or even potentially over hurdles.
Although Joe is known predominantly as a Jumps trainer, he hasn't shied away from having a few runners on the Flat over his short training career so far since taking over from his dad. Joe has fielded 27 flat runners at the likes of Ascot, Epsom and Goodwood, resulting in two winners on the all-weather at Kempton and Lingfield, and eight placed finishers.
