I gave Conservative a workout against a horse called Perseverants yesterday. The latter, who is rated 6lb higher than Conservative, is set to run at Hamilton over on Sunday. Both horses worked well.

Although we do have the option of the all-weather, I think I’d like to run Conservative on turf again. I am just waiting for the ground to dry up a little. It has been a damp May so far, and there is more rain on the way this week.

I was pleased to have a winner earlier this week when Visibility prevailed at Southwell. He finished ahead of Conservative by two places earlier this year at Wolverhampton. Hopefully, Conservative can now go and get his nose in front sometime soon too.
