Conservative set for hurdling debut as he gets back to full training – latest from Joe Tizzard
He actually hasn’t lost that much in the way of fitness, so we’ll get Brendan [Powell] in to school him again, and if that goes well, we can look for a race for him in the next week to ten days or so.
We’ll stick with the plan to go hurdling with him, we don’t need to go back on the flat with him, and all his previous schooling at home had been really pleasing, so there’s no reason to think that won’t be the case again.
There are plenty of decent options for a novice like him at this time of the year, tracks like Stratford, Newton Abbot and Worcester all provide safe, summer jumping ground, so we’ll find a nice opportunity for him.
