Hey Day Baby set for swift return to action as O'Neill team target Warwick next week
The going was soft that day, and that was a concern, and she was also a bit keen early on. Because of the ground, Ben [Macey] wasn’t hard on her when it was clear she wasn’t enjoying it, and so he looked after her and pulled her up, and that means we haven’t needed to give her a break, and instead have entered her at Warwick next Tuesday.

It’s a handicap chase for conditional jockeys over two and a half miles, and as things stand, the going should be much better than Newton Abbot, which will be a big plus. The handicapper has left her rating unchanged at 81, so has ignored her last run, and we’re happy to do the same.
Hopefully we’ll see the Hey Day Baby from Market Rasen back again next week!
