Hey Day Baby was running a really big race on her hurdling debut at Exeter last week, but unfortunately she picked up a cut to her left hind leg in the race, which meant Jonjo Jnr [jockey] let her come home in her own time.

The vet has been in to treat the cut, but to make sure it’s nothing more than a superficial wound, we’ll get him to ultrascan the leg, which we can only do once the swelling has reduced.

She would be on her summer holidays now anyway, so we’ve not lost any time with her, and once we’ve got the scan results we will update you all.
