Lady Mendoza continues her fledgling chase career at Newcastle on Thursday after Rebecca Menzies today declared her in the Class 4 Handicap Chase (15:45) over two miles, seven and a half furlongs.

This is set to be Lady Mendoza's second start under rules over fences, after she made her chasing debut at Hexham earlier in the month. She has also competed in two point-to-point races in her career to date, winning one of those starts, so she does have good experience over the bigger obstacles.

Brian Hughes has been booked to ride Lady Mendoza for the third time, and it'll be the second time this week that he's partnered a Coral Racing Club runner, having been booked to ride Cave Article at Fakenham too.
