Lady Mendoza has been fine since her Sedgefield run earlier this month, but I just don’t think she enjoys chasing, she hasn’t taken to it as we’d hoped she would.

I wouldn’t rule out trying her over the bigger obstacles again in the future, but for now, I think we should get her confidence back over hurdles.

There’s a three mile race at Market Rasen next Thursday, a 0 – 100 handicap, so we’ll enter her in that and see how the ground is nearer the time.

It’s currently soft, good to soft in places, but it will be good to try her with a bit more ease in the ground anyway, so hopefully we’ll be all systems go.
