Seasonal debut for Phoenix Of Dreams delayed after he suffers minor setback
Phoenix Of Dreams had a slight knock in his box last week, and it was clear he was sore on his left leg from the incident. I got the vet to do a scan on him yesterday, and he has a slight splint in his bone. It’s nothing too serious, and it will heal, but he needs some time to recover.
The vet has advised a full week’s rest in his box. He will then be able to walk for a fortnight before then returning to exercise. There is never a good time for a horse to have an injury, but it’s even more frustrating that this has happened at the start of the season when we were ready to run.
I will update you all in a fortnight on his progress. Hopefully, it will be with more positive news, and if that is the case, we can start looking at some potential races once again.
