WATCH: Exclusive interview with Oliver Cole on Rockstar Icon | 'Last year we were really on the back foot'
The club's four-year-old gelding has had an extended break following the final run of his campaign last year at Windsor in October. Following a really promising first run of the season at Newmarket in May, things didn't quite go to plan as he suffered a couple of set backs, including a strong bout of hay fever which impacted his breathing.
This time round, ahead of his first run of 2025, trainer Oliver Cole is making sure the team do everything they can to get Rockstar Icon in peak condition, including a change in his training plan. Over the past few weeks he's been doing some light work just to blow away the cobwebs, and that will continue for now before Oli thinks it's time to move up to some more intense work which will get him race ready.
If all goes to plan, Rockstar Icon could return to action next month, with a potential race at Kempton on Wednesday 7th May looking like the ideal starting point.
