Sycamore is all set to have his first run for the Coral Racing Club on Tuesday at Southwell.

He has been working very well over the last few weeks, so he is ready to go for his next assignment. Southwell is a racecourse he knows very well. He is a course and distance winner there, and he ran well in defeat over this C&D back in February off this same mark.

We will know more on Sunday about the shape-up of the race once the declarations are made, but at first glance, it looks quite open. Sycamore has been successful off a 1lb higher mark than this before, so it is a workable mark.

I hope to see some of the Coral Racing Club Owners for the Day at Southwell on Tuesday evening. Let’s hope it is a winning start for Sycamore with the Coral Racing Club silks on.
