Friday is set to be a blockbuster of a day for the Coral Racing Club as we welcome back both Diamond Days and Cast No Shadow following the pair both having a long period on the sidelines.

Having run six times in his first season under rules, Joe Tizzard told us that Diamond Days 'summered superbly' in the Dorset countryside after showing good progress over the course of the season.  After having him back in training for a good few weeks after his break, Joe Tizzard wants to start his season sooner rather than later and with that in mind, has entered him in the final race on the card at Fontwell on Friday (15:45) which kicks off the Club's double header. 

Just 45 minutes later, at the opposite end of the country, Cast No Shadow will be stepping back onto the Tapeta at his second home of Newcastle Racecourse for the ninth time in his 15 race career. Having won over track and trip twice, both of which came last year, Hugo Palmer thought that this would be the perfect destination for him to start his third year on the racecourse, following his nine month injury layoff, given how well he knows the surroundings at Gosforth Park.
