Joe Tizzard pencils in Diamond Days' next start over hurdles following a difficult opening run at Fontwell
He’s been absolutely fine since the race, there were no physical issues that could have caused him to hang, and his tack was all correct, so we really can only put it down to him running so green on his hurdles debut, which isn’t unusual at all.
We’re keen to get him out again soon to give him the experience he needs, so we’ve entered him in a novice hurdle over two miles at Taunton next Thursday [28th]. Because I think he was just green at Fontwell, I’m happy running him at another track where he’ll face a few bends, and it will also teach us plenty more about him.

We’ll have a closer look at the race nearer the time before we make a final decision, but he needs to have his three completed runs to get his handicap mark, so I’d be keen to run.
