WATCH: West End Boy declared for handicap debut at Wincanton on Sunday
West End Boy's last run came over course and distance in April, where he finished a promising 2nd to finish off his first campaign over hurdles.
This Sunday will mark his handicap debut, and he'll be running off a mark of just 99 whilst carrying the lowest weight in the race.
Freddie Gingell has been booked to ride, and his claim has been reduced to three pounds, from seven, due to the race being for conditional jockeys.
Trainer Joe Tizzard had this to say at the time of declaration:
"West End Boy has done everything well at home this Autumn. We were pleased with the handicap mark he got at the back end of last season. I thought he was going to get balloted out of this race, but I am glad he didn’t, as he is ready to run. He has some C&D form, and we will see where we are. This horse will be winning shortly, I am sure of that."
