West End Boy is a lovely, well-built son of Westerner who was bought by Ross Doyle for the Tizzard team, and we snapped him up for the Coral Racing Club last September. He joined the club unnamed, so we put it to our members to name him through a series of competitions that led to him being named West End Boy.
After three runs in novice company last season, he reappeared with bang in October at Wincanton where he won on his handicap debut off a mark of 99 by 10 lengths, becoming the club's first ever winner.
He followed that up with another win at Plumpton shortly after, and has since finished a respectable 4th at Sandown off an 11lb higher mark of 110. He'll continue to target handicaps over two miles and we hope to see more progression over the next few months.
