West End Boy update: New Year's Day date for potential debut

I was considering Plumpton next Tuesday for West End Boy’s debut in a Bumper, but while I think he would have just about handled the tight turns of the Sussex track, he is a big, strong type who I’m sure would be seen to better effect on a more galloping track. So instead, we’ve decided to aim him at Exeter on New Year’s Day.
It’s a track we like a lot. We run a lot of our nice horses there, and for his first ever racecourse appearance, I think it will be the perfect place for him. Until then we can keep up his work at home, the extra ten days or so mean we won’t have to push him too hard.
I look forward to seeing some of you there, it could be a great way to see in the New Year!
